It was summer in Venice 1993...
where life was pure potential, opportunity, vision, fantasy and famous for making something out of nothing. I set out into a glaring sun across a hot, cracked desert… fearful, uncertain, and very much on my own As I trusted no one, and certainly not men. My life was not working, so I split out to the crossroadS to finally figure it out. After hundreds of steps, I found a spot in the hot brittle earth to begin etching/drawing very large circles with found sticks. I sketched out every aspect of my life: all the parts… and this time for the Universe above to witness and be part of. On that day, on a scorched lakebed, the foundation for a Remarkable Practice was etched in place. I made a vow to my teachers, mentors and self, to embody these tools to live by. practices for performance, full expression, character choice and balance. this was the way to the life I wanted and deserved to live. TWENTY YEARS LATER… My path led me into self-leadership coaching. It has become a way of living and expressing my higher purpose, and the meaning for being alive. these practices grew from everything I captured on that day under the sun, I am forever grateful to my leaders, mentors, teachers and teams along my path, who truly helped me find the self-actualized & self-determined life. These are strong, loving, courages men who approach the adventure of life with open arms, and lead me to a a sustainable system of Remarkable Practices for all men to live by. Paul Velick |
